WHS and Mixed Tee Competitions:

The R&A's rules and guidance allow for flexibility in tee selection for competitions, including mixed tee formats. 

To ensure fairness in mixed tee competitions, adjustments are made to players' playing handicaps to account for differences in course ratings and par. 

A committee can specify which tees all players must use or allow each player to choose which tees they wish to play from. 

There is no rule barring men from playing from the commonly called “ladies tees.” Any player may play from any tee box they choose.
